 hi all anybody know the rules if you miss call your hand playing live.only asking because i did it the other night and although   i had the winning hand ,it was said it dosnt count because i had missed called it .

    Cards speak. If you turn your hand over, you're still entitled to win the pot. However, you might be penalised for miscalling your hand - that is down to the tournament director. 

    Basically I never announce my hand, I turn it over. Saves you the bother.

    Same thing happened to me in a game at Newcastle a few years ago, After one guy said said I have to play the hand I declared, I said no cards speak and pulled in the pot anyway. i think I read that rule and saying in Super system ages ago and just remembered it. If my memory serves me right Doyle mentioned that it dosnt matter if you miss read your hand or miss call it at showdown the cards speak and stand. He was talking about a novice in his game that didnt know he had a striaght or something to win the pot but Doyle jumped in and declared his hand for him.
