    Lovely seeing all at my home SPT , shame about the weather on Friday but gave more time to drink . lol :) Played rubbish again, but at least won 2 heads .

    Hi Anna & Jen,

    SPT Blackpool was great! The less said about the main event the better, but I did a cash in the Sunday side event. 

    It was great to get to chat to both of you. 

    Also met so many of my poker friends and acquaintances, and not a bad apple amongst them. 
    A few highlights:
    - Irene, the captain of the might TKP, is a bit crazy and has limitless energy. 
    - The Don is impossible to understand at least half the time.
    - Greghogg got out-drunk by a (freds)girl.
    - BorinLoner is one of the nicest guys I have ever met.
    - The weather made it very easy to spend most of the weekend inside in the casino.
    - Crazy golf is mad fun, even in the rain.
    - Did I mention I did a cash?

    I'm not coming across very well in tonights show. I don't think I'll be welcome at another SPT at this rate.

    Just a point on the massive raise sizing at micro stakes....

    Remember all the limping you were seeing on mastercash? Well the massive raising is the only way to avoid going to a flop multi way at these levels. I started to raise 5x at 2p/4p because 16p raising was taking me to every flop 4 and 5 handed!

    Evening ladies, lovely to see you both this weekend, if only briefly in Jen's case after being moved next to her before my AA got cracked by Queens (unbelievably not by the now infamous Steve).

    Where's the picture of Greg?  I could do with a laugh, I'm sure after being woefully out-performed by his drinking partner Fredgirl that there were plenty of opportunities for amusing photography

    A question about the hand that really got me in trouble at Blackpool if you have time to discuss?

    I have AA in the Big Blind, blinds 100/200, I have around 13,000 chips

    folds to 3rd to act, raise to 600 - 3 callers.

    I bump it up to 2000 from the Big Blind - 1 fold, 3 callers.  So 8,900 in the pot and I have about 11,000 back.

    Flop bring 3 7 8 rainbow.

    I open jam for my full stack 1st to act.  2 folds and 1 caller, I immediately know he's made his set, and he shows 88 which holds and leaves me with just 2100 chips.

    The question - was the open jam correct?  My reasoning was that given the pot size I can't bet fold after the flop so I might as well just get them in.
