Was just flicking through 861 (as it is now) prior to heading out to casino.  Just thought it was very commendable to hear an individual discuss some of the darker elements of the game in regard to player safety when carrying large sums of money.

Think its actually the first time I've seen a tv personality breach this subject.  Players are targets at home and abroad - I can speak from personal experience, following a very nasty attack just less than 6 months ago leaving a casino in Hull.

Just great practical advice and great to have awareness raised.

Just really good to see.

Total credit to the game - oh and just great to see you on other side of couch lately.

    +2 to this

James is def one of the best presenters they have and would be a massive loss imo.

He has of late jumped into the analysts seat and has taken to this as if he has done this everyday of his life and with a few Tikay impressions thrown in we get 2 for the price of one :)

Very good at whatever he does on the channel

Agreed. James' recent stints in the analyst's seat have put some other occupants performances in the shade. Well done that man.

Excuse my ignorance having never played live poker at a UK casino. When you cash out do they not give you the option of a transfer of funds direct to your bank account or offer some sort of e wallet facility where it can be credited so that you dont have to walk around with wads of cash.

This is insanity if the offline world of professional poker works like this.

James should be knighted for his services to public safety.

Sadly, in 2011 the Central Office of Information was closed as part of the government cut back packages. If you don't know, they were responsible for the classic public information films we have grown to know and love.

From the "Charlie Says" cartoon cat ads, Darth Vader actor David Prowse as the iconic ‘Green Cross Code Man' or Sir Jimmy Saville and his 'Clunk Click Every Trip campaign', those ads stuck in the mind of the generation and we were "Safer"

As James already has a "High Profile" TV image, I think he is ideally placed to be the next "Face Of Safety" and we should petition the Government to bring these back. I for one would be joyed to see James in a Green Cross Code costume but this is about the kids. The children are our future, we need to teach them well and let James lead the way.

I am sure we would all support this 100%

sigh........ why?  Just needless and pointless...and rude.

I think people can be naive on the subject tbh rancid.  I've known people to be really cavalier and have an expectation or perception that casinos have some extensive duty to provide people with magical shielding against falling victim to crime.

I rarely have to walk more than 100 metres to my car from casino door now, but its def a head down hands in pocket jobby these days, usually with a friend also.

As said, raising people awareness can only be a good thing.

What shade? We haven't seen the sun for several weeks.

    Anyway, +51

James does a great job. We're fortunate to still have him on Sky when you consider all the other poker jobs he gets, they go out to much bigger audiences and are probably better paid. Quite possibly we have Black Friday to thank for his continued presence here.
