I have only recently educated myself through videos general poker chat comments to the fact that T.H.Poker is a game of skill. Untill today I have just jumped in head first into high stake games with only a B.R. of £100.00. and its thanks to all the info on sky poker forums that is there for any body to read and educate themselves to a smarter, intelegent, approach to the game. B.R. today is nill. Waiting for my C4P. to appear and then I will start a new and sensible approach to the game. I have had my ups and downs over the last year won big and lost too but never realy took the game as sewrious as a lot of players out there. I may post a thread for to do a weekly report on my progress. Three has grown up. Beware. But dont expect to see me on the 15/20 CT for a while. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

    Hi Three,

Tough break. It's always tough analysing your game when you come off the back of a loss, but it's definitely something anyone can benefit from doing. You should even do it when you win. I guess you could start off with questions like:

Was I playing the right limits for my bankroll?
Was I playing too tight/loose? Did the money affect those decisions?
What parts of my sessions went well? Even when you're losing it's important to remember the things you do right.
What parts of the session caused me the most trouble?
How much variance was there in the session? Did you just lose a lot of flips or did the money just trickle away in post-flop spots?

There are many good players on the forum, many of whom started off with a similar story. Ask the right sorts of questions and you'll get some good responses.

Hope you're back on the upswings soon!

Thanks Dave. Bad beats are the worst to handle . You do every thing right get the money in the pot with a very good hand Nut flush on the flop. and some one calle with 66 hits a 6 on the flop and pairs the board for a full house. I had more bad beats last month than in my whole poker playing life. But your points about BR. and tight or loose playing. I do question that but hope to change for the better. When does the Cash 4 points get paid into your account?
