Having to sign up additionally to receive cash for points

I wonder if anyone else has had the same experience as me...

I signed up to Skypoker about a month ago. There was no welcome bonus (rare) but i joined anyway.

I played many games in June and whilst doing so a bright pink bar on the right hand side of the lobby was showing me how much "money" i was "earning" for "Cash for Points". However, come friday 6th July instead of having a nice £50 bonus, i am told by a member of staff that i had to sign up additionally for this special promotion?!?! - WTF Skypoker?! - You are the only site I know of that you have to sign up aditionally for to receive rakeback.

I feel cheated of £50. It is not the money, it is the principle. This is simply ridiculous - if i am not part of the promotion then why have a feature in the lobby which shows how much "money i have earnt" - when infact I haven't at all?!

Has anyone else had the same experience? - Perhaps I am being stupid but i think there may be more people out there.

Cheers

That is ridiculous that the bar still shows you will recieve £50 at the end of the month, if infact you wont.

Send them an email, i'm sure they will pay you the money, it would be stupid for them to lose yet another customer to a rival site.

It does seem a bit silly having to opt-in for it (who wouldn't?!) and it's been so long since I joined Sky I don't know if you get any messages when you sign up that would tell you to sign up for it or not, but yeah not great.

Especially with the Widget counting up your C4P, surely the Widget shouldn't count up the points if you're not in the promotion, although that's probably quite hard for Sky to set up.

I'd like to think Sky would give you the £50 as a 'good will gesture'

Plus, Yes, support will read the forums, and one of the Sky 'team'  may offer you a solution if/when they see this.

If you've got £50 C4P, that means you've earned around 3.5k C4P last month, and therefore, raked £350. Surely I'd be in Sky's best interests to give you that £50 to make sure they don't lose £350/month, if not more?

its a bit silly that you have to manually input "points" in the promotion section to get it going :S

    Hi Magic,
Have you had a look under "My Account" "Free Bets" "Offers Ready to Use"?  The welcome bonus, I think. comes (or at least it did) in the form of free tourney entry "tickets" which you can use to enter a tourney to the value of each ticket. Also, there is 2 x freeroll tourneys for new-players. They run every Tuesday nite. I've just had a look in lobby and there is one tonight @ 19:30 with a £2,500 guarantee!
