Well my origional guess that the bubble will burst on Thur at 4pm Vegas time might only be hours out rather than day's if they keep dropping at this rate.
Hopefully these 2 guys left can go deep once it does burst!!
Marc tells me he has around 530,000. I have yet to see Dan, but I'll catch up with him shortly.
I don't know the "big" Online guys, but I gather Marc's Table includes Mike "timex" McDonald, who I do know vaguely, & "basebaldy", who might be named Baldwin. Hotshots, apparently.
ALWAYS a fold, & Dan was hoping he'd get dross, so he could wander off.
J-J. He almost sighed, but he can't fold.
Super Aggro Kid, busy busy busy, playing plenty, makes it 5k, effectively a min-raise.
Dan elects to smooth. (Your views on that?).
Flop, 10-6-5 rainbow.
Super Aggro makes it 7,800.
Dan dwells to consider his options, then calls. "Give me a safe turn please" he thinks.....
Turn..........A
Norrrrrrrrrrrr!
This Ace also brings a flush draw.
Super Aggro eventually, after a monster dwell, bets 25,600.
Dan is hating life. But he dwells an age, thinks carefully, & figures this kid can't have the A "as played". But he is not confident, or liking life....
Eventually Dan calls, almost reluctantly.
River - offsuit 4.
Now there is the Mother of a Staredown from both players. It is Super Aggro to act first, & he stares endlessly @ Dan, fully 2 minutes.
Dan is thinking "....PLEASE CHECK, I'll struggle to call a 50k bet here...."
Eventually, Super Aggro becomes Super Lose His Nerve, & checks.
It was the very last hand before din-dins. ALWAYS a fold, & Dan was hoping he'd get dross, so he could wander off. J-J. He almost sighed, but he can't fold. Flating the JJ without doubt made Dan more chips in that situation but it took alot more kahunas
In Response to Re: The WSOP Main Event fun starts NOW : Flating the JJ without doubt made Dan more chips in that situation but it took alot more kahunas Think i raise there though. Posted by _ARAZI_
Agree, me too.
But that's why & how this new-generation are so good - they make these scary plays, & as a result, get more value from them. Me, I raise there & either lose my customer, or Mr Super Aggro fires back & I wimp-fold.
It gives me no shame or embarrassment to say I can't play that standard these days, I look for the more gentle backwaters of mixed or 4 card games.
On the Channel, I think I can still help newbies with fundamentals, help them learn the basics, but when it gets to "serious" levels, my fellow Analysts & Guests are different gravy.
All good, the game changes so quickly now, some of the Online kids are so good at NLH. I'll still take 'em on at mixed stuff though. .
good luck Dan and Marc, fingers crossed...not forgetting the lovely Liv? Tikay, you holding up? nothing fallen off? ttfn Posted by lozgo
Good read! I don't know really, I'm numb with tiredness, but I'm also buzzing with zingy-zest, today is just THE most exciting day's poker I can recall in such a long time, that room has an electric atmo.
I adore coming here to cover this Event, it's the greatest thing in thingville.
Still says 1017 left. Is that about right or way off? Can you see an up to date screen Tikay? Posted by MAXALLY
I am sat smack in front of the "Official" plasma, it currently reads 1,005 left, & I'd say that was accurate.
I Blogged several times this week about a great guy & poker friend, John Shipley. He had 32,000 at the first break today, & now has 310,000. I would SO love him to run deep.
In a most peculiar & possibly unique stat, his last SIX Live Cashes, over a six year period, are all @ the WSOP - he only plays the WSOP these days. He is actually a far better player @ Omaha then NLH.

Marc Wright 500,000
I'll go check on Dan now, Mike.
Alan - what you doing up at this hour? Late night, or early morning?
The plasmas currently suggest 1,062 remain, Blinds are 1,200-2,400/300 for 30 more minutes, then 90 minute Dinner Break.
There will be 2 more x 2 hour levels after Dinner.
666 get paid.
Average stack is currently 186,364.
They seem to be playing VERY fast. We began with 1,753 players today, so we have lost 715 in under 3 levels.
Marc's closing stack tonight? Think I'll stick with a million, or busto!

Dan Pickard - 370,000.
Nosebleed teritory.....
