How bad have I played this hand?

£2.20 double up, early stages 6 people still at the table. Up against a small chip leader thinking maybe they hit the under straight draw after trying to limp into the flop. Then maybe put them on K 10 or 10 A after they keep calling. When I hit the straight I think I have won so push and get called to the over straight. Should I see this?

I think I make it tiny bit more than 3x pre cos of the limper but not a huge big deal.

Flop bet is fine, turn it's fine to bet again, might go a little bit bigger though.

River you made the only move possible. Think you played the hand well, you just got unlucky that hitting your str8, gave him a better one cos you were already ahead.

Ok, thanks. It's bugging me because I've lost like 5 or 6 dym's with pocket pairs losing to runner runner straights even when I've got the money in preflop. Guess I'm just on a bad run.

Personally I fold it pre this early, however if playing it 3 bt bigger or just call but try to keep the pot small in DYM early stages unless you flop massive!

Fair enough, I'm generally quite conservative with pocket pairs under 10s  especially after yesterday when my pocket 4s which hit were beaten by pocket 5s which also hit early. Guess I need to grind it out a little bit more, my attention span is pretty poor lol.

I'm never folding pre to a buttn limp here, I can see an arguement for peeling and exercising some pot control.

I don't mind the line you took on any of the streets, the calls you opponent made were alot worse than the bets that you made, just unlucky.

raise more pre, flop bet is fine, turn bet kinda sucks what realistically is he callin flop with? the turn smashes his range so aint a fan of the bet at all

make up the sb, and set mine mainly. I am not raising oop with this hand in a dym.

its not a good idea to bet marginal hands oop against opponants who like to call alot... it can cost you your game, as demonstrated by this hand..

Ok thanks for the advice, I realise I need to sit a lot more tight in DYM's especially when there are some loose cannons at the table.

    Cheers

Well its early doors and i notice your already -20% av stack size so i can see you playing but lots would fold here pre, believe me.
You've carried on and the flop isn't too bad with one over so i can see a bet as ok but the call and then flush possibilities would certainly put me off betting the turn. I'd close down now as my stack size (~1200) can still have fold equity and can find a better spot IMO. Mind, i wouldn't have ever limped with Q(o at this sage of a DYM. Cheers....
PS As for seeing this then i think the scary flush may have been blinding my eyes mate but maybe check there and keep your 970 as you can still come back from there as you are most likely behind.

Sorry, I didn't even see you say it was a DYM lol...

See people's thoughts above. If it's not a DYM, my opinion stands.
