So... EvilPingu... What's happened?

I don't want to make a big issue of this but it appears that young EvilPingu has disappeared from the forum and all his forum posts have gone.

Perhaps this is a temporary fault, though I did notice a vociferous and unhappy thread started by him last night on General Poker Chat. I didn't read through the post but today one of the most constructive contributors to the forum seems to be no more. This begs the question: Has he deleted his account?

I have stayed pretty quiet on the disconnection problems raised in the forum and I have found alot of the vitriol to be fairly distasteful. However, if it has led to EvilPingu leaving the forum I would suggest that perhaps things have got out of hand. Not only is EvilPingu's diary extremely popular but he is possibly the best, most helpful poster in the Poker Clinic and without his advice it's the players who seek advice there that will suffer most.

So does anyone know what's happened with the young chap?

This is not an invitation for people to post conspiracy theories, to insult one another or to criticise Sky or anyone else. We've had enough of that in recent days.

    Yeah I read his thread, it was worded in a pretty poor way and he basically said to SKY if they don't sort it out he will move to stars. (After a 300 word rant) I did post telling him to remove it as it would just land him in trouble, as you say above he is a big forum contributer so would be a shame to lose him, but if all his threads are gone it's likely he has closed his account of been given a lifetime ban from forum and chat.

    didnt see him playing on the tables that much quite late last night like he usually does

    aware he plays elsewere already maybe had enough for whatever reason?

    Big Shame!
    He had great potential and made thoughtful comments beyond his years!
    Not to mention fantastic viewing on the mastercash tables.
    Yet another great character gone or banned from the forum!
    If he was a little older I'm sure he would have been part of the team in Vegas!
    Roll on his 21st birthday! he doesn't need luck but i'll wish it anyway!

    Think he's got a forum ban for a week. I'm not sure why.

    I hope you're right, DOHHHHHHH, and that he will be back. I can't be the only one that thinks this has all got a bit silly.

    I'm fairly sure that if there are problems, it's not by the deliberate design of Sky and that they will try to resolve all issues as quickly as they can. Equally, I don't think it's very helpful for them to be banning forum posts from people that have become frustrated or angered by these problems.

    I think everyone needs to calm down a little and Sky (or the forum mods) need to be a little more forgiving of the occasional outburst. We're all friends here.

    EDIT: I can't re-post on here after the thread has closed. Fair dues to Sky Dave for explaining though.

    He has been banned for 1 week due to failure to comply with the rules of the forum...

    i dont know what rule(s) he broke...

    Hi guys,

    A recent post by EvilPingu went against the Community Guidelines so he's serving out either a suspension or ban. As we always say, we can't discuss individual cases so no more detail can be given. The posts disappearing happens in both a suspension or ban, so no inference should be made from that.

    I'm going to close the thread as hopefully that answers the OP's question.
