Explain your forum Avatar

We've had discussions in the past about who you are and why you chose your alias etc, but recently we've noticed some new and interesting avatars on the community. You look at them sometimes and think, for example. 'I recognise that from a computer game but which one?'

Which got us thinking, why not tell us what yours is on this thread? The good thing is that when you post it, we will be able to see what you are talking about!

    It's a picture of me!

    Actually it's one I used years ago on a BMW forum and just liked it, so used it here too.

    Hi folks

    I'll start the ball rolling. Mine is a supernove which is a large hot mass exploding and destroying itself. Come to think of it, this picture describes my poker at times. HA ha.
     Time for a change i think.

    Also..

    Is there an avatar someone else uses that of recognise but cant pinpoint?

    For example - we were discussing the avatar of 'BLACK_MASS'. It feels familiar somehow but we have no idea why? Is it from an old computer game?

    It was a 'stock' avatar on the BMW forum I mentioned (from a selection of about 500 available!).
    Never seen it used elsewhere.

    A computer game or a retro cartoon of some type... I worry we have opened a "Black_Mass" sized can of worms by even asking.... I fear the reply already... :D

    While we are having an Avatar "Love-In" can I also say I am a huge fan of your "Name" and remember being a huge fan of the utterly bizarre Jigsaw character of the same name... I doubt you would get away with his face as your avatar as it could be misinterpreted as something else.....

    The cycling figure in mine was a very kind gift from a guy that is well known in cycling circles for painting Playmobil figures and creating famous scenes from the world of cycle racing.  He did me two, one male one female in my cycling club kit which we used as cake toppers at our wedding.
