I just make a mental note of the page no.  & time of last post I read. Mite be an easier way tho?

click on the star next to it...it takes you right there

There is a star against number of replies on main gen chat section.  Click on that and it takes you to last post read for that topic.

This has been frustrating me for months, eventually found it by accident last week. Enjoy.
