I think I'd raise on the flop, he either has something or he doesn't. If he doesn't have anything then you aint gonna get much more out of him anyway, if he does, you give yourself the best chance of stacking him. Also, raising here he may call with hands like JT and AJ whereas here you're giving him a VERY cheap chance to outdraw your trips.
Obviously the 9 on the turn is nice, and you're right to raise, but you need to raise more. Something someone once said to me that stuck... don't choose your raise sizes based on what they've bet, choose them based on what's in the pot. So your raise on the turn is asking him to call 30 to win 300, yes you'll get called by virtually anything with a chance of improving, but you need MORE value from these monster.
All the problems above cause what happens on the river, he minbets again and you think 'OH NO! I've got a monster hand here and the pot is tiny, so I have to stick a massive bet in'.
If you'd have built the pot a bit bigger on flop and turn, it allows you to make a bigger bet (which is still smaller in relation to the pot size than yours) on the river.
Especially in these £2 BHs, you will get people calling with anything and ignoring terrible pot odds if they think they can hit a card that will win it for them, so with these hands you gotta go for absolute maximum value.
As played, u can flat flop, because otherwise you are announcing that you have a king. But tbh, at this level, i think raising flop is best, also put a chunky raise in on the turn and hope he has clubs...
On the river here u make a proper chuncky raise, but tbh this should have come earlier in the hand.
