Sky Jackpot

The jackpot is now over 7k!  Think its great Sky offer this jackpot, but would it not be good to keep it at 5k and the money thats added each week could be used for other promotions to benefit other players?

For example there could be a Thur BH seat given for 'post of the week' and there could be 2 lucky 7's seats given away on each live show, along with the main seat they already kindly give away?

This is not meant as a criticism, just an idea and think it would benefit/get more people involved?

I disagree, the Jackpot will have a snowball effect due to the weekly increment. As it gets bigger more players will be tempted to chase it, so the field sizes will grow, which in turn will make it harder to win. As it gets bigger it's more likely to attract players to Sky from other sites. 

If you think about it the Jackpot actually doesn't cost Sky Poker much as long as it doesn't get won too often, just £100 per week, I'm pretty sure that's only a relatively small chunk of their promotional budget. If it got massive, say £20K+ (which is very possible), the rake generated by the extra numbers playing the ME and Mini would easily cover the weekly £100.

Keep the Jackpot as it is in my opinion.
