"Guess who's back? Back again. tikay's back. Tell a friend. Guess who's back? Guess who's back? Guess who's back? (etc. etc.)"

OK, people. Five hours of live poker are coming your way. The show begins at 7pm on 861, and at 10pm on Sky Sports 4. Here's the line-up:

7pm   Live coverage of a Timed Tournament (register HERE).
8pm   The Poker Clinic. Hand IDs, s'il vous plait!
9pm   Sky Poker School: Understanding Fold Equity.
10pm   Top of the Pots.
11pm   Live coverage of the £12k Bounty Hunter (register HERE).

Of course, this will be the first programme to feature Tony 'tikay' Kendall in the analyst's chair since his epic voyage to Vegas. So, with that in mind...

Do you have any tips for recovering from jet lag? Has anyone ever tried to make fists with their toes?

What do you make of this year's November...sorry, October Nine? Is this the most boring WSOP final table in history?

And, to be in with a chance of winning free entry to next Tuesday's £5k Open, please complete the following sentence:

"I knew tikay was suffering from 'Vegas fatigue' when..."

Entries must be posted/e-mailed before 9.30pm. The winner (as judged by the Sky Poker production team) will be announced before 10pm.

I knew Tikay was actually suffering from 'Vegas fatigue' when he looked down at a hand worse than aces and raised from UTG, contiuning by peeling off a 3bet from the button.

"I knew Tikay was suffering from 'Vegas fatigue' when..he finished off his 7th sticky bun in a row on his return, in the Heathrow Airport Cafe "

I think the above statement is a little unfair TBH James. Just because there are not one or two 'big name' players amongst that 9, the media circus, in all its pomp, has already labelled this as a non descript FT. I think this is where having a break until the FT in October comes good. There will be now plenty of opportunity and time to get to know these 9 players which will hopefully raise all their profiles.

I for one would rather watch this table of 'real' players, who most can relate to, then a star studded table full of millionaire pros!

Or is that just because you have not been asked to commentate on it? :)

    Who's being unfair now, Alan?

I've commentated on plenty of dull final tables, filled with "no name" players. Obviously, the hardcore poker fans always tune in. But I would argue that the casual viewers; the potential new players NEED something more enticing than a group of on-line grinders to draw them in...

Lol....I did include a :) at the end of it....but I knew your ego would bite!

FWIW....I really do enjoy listening to yourself and John Stapes when you two do commentary together. How are you both fixed to do the live feed at the FT of the SPT Final?

I think the real talking point is the 10th place finisher, and the previous history she and the guy who took her out had!

Does look a boring FT tho.  Such a missed opportunity for poker as if both women who ran deep had made it, it would have been a big big boost to the game.

Not an ego issue (for once). Not offended. Mildly tilted by the smiley face, but not offended.

Just felt the need to clarify that my opinions of poker tournaments, festivals and tours aren't influenced by whether I'm personally involved or not.

I'm not sure I understand this. It hasn't been my experience that poker has ever achieved mainstream publicity. If the news of two women making the final table only spread throughout the "poker community", would it really provide a big boost to female player numbers? I'm not convinced that it would have had any noticeable effect, though I'm sure that poker journalists and poker sites would have tried to spin it that way.

The million dollar buyin event made the papers purely for the mental amount needed just to play I guess.

    Another one for you James,

I knew Tikay was suffering from Vegas fatigue when he renamed his house "Area 51" & spent his days on the forum writing all the "Bad beat" stories he had suffered during his poker career.

A story of 2 female poker players making the FT of the biggest poker tournie in the world would have hit the main stream media easily....something that could have enticed some novice/newbie players off of Zynga poker to a real money site like Sky..

Also I think that the ratio of online female players to live female players doesn't quite match up, for various reasons, so again seeing 2 female players doing so amazingly well in a live environment would have been a big thing.

Sadly, we'll never know now. I still have my doubts about it making the mainstream media, especially outside the U.S.

Not that it could have made a huge difference in the U.S. with the lack of online poker there. Maybe next year.

I knew Tikay was suffering from Vegas fatigue when he started rambling on about trains, planes and automobiles then gave short shrift to players who moan about variance.
Wait a sec, thats normal! He's not suffering from fatigue at all! lol

I knew Tikay was suffering from "Vegas" fatigue when he declared the highlight of his trip was American fast foods!
I'm sure I heard him talking with relish about Golden Nuggets and taking all the chips!

When women do well in poker it's a big story.. It get's amplified 10 times over a man accomplishing the same feat. I'd cite Liv Boeree's EPT San Remo win, that was over 2years ago and she is still publicised for it,It was in tabloid newspapers and she was on mainstream tv and breakfast shows talking about it.
Same would apply for a female on the FT.
