£11 timed - why sat's for one but not the other?

Before anyone says shouldnt you be volunteering at the Olympics I finished at midday today (in the Judo) so am having a night on the poker!

I noticed the £11 timed at lunch time has a number of sats through the morning, I see these are mostly cancelled as they dont get the minimum runners. There is an £11 timed at 9.45pm and I am yet to see any sats for this? I would feel very confident saying sats for this would get runners and good runners from the late afternoon onwards.

Is there a reason for this?

Hi BUFC,

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner on this - as I am sure you can appreciate, we get a lot of questions posed (not just on here) and we do our best to feedback on them. 

So, to your question. Basically it's a two-fold reason. The £11 tourney in the morning is relatively a 'big' tournament for that time of day. To help people who are perhaps on the site and more used to playing £2-5MTTs, the satellites are put on offer. It also helps ensure the tourney gets the runners to hit guarantee at what is obviously a quieter time of day in terms of people on site.

Flip that around, the evening tournament is less of a 'big' tournament, with the nightly 8pm Main normally in the £22-33 range. With the satellites we do offer on site focusing on giving people a chance at those Mains, running satellites to the others is less of an option, plus the £11 is more in keeping with what people generally buy-in direct for anyway.

Of course, we can't please everyone but we do try our best. I hope the answer at least gives you some insight into the thinking behind the decision, even if you don't agree entirely with it.
