Hi all

I don't no if this exists already but i was wondering if there are any live poker classes or night school classes in the surrey or London area. The reason i ask is i no Annie Duke and Howard lederer do such a thing in American so it would make sense if such classes were given by a known pro in this country.I'm a self taught player who sways from moderately successful to complete pants almost over night.I always think if i could just iron out a few mistakes in my game that i keep making i could be a regularly successful player.i just don't no how to do it.I find reading poker books the most boring thing out there and just give up after a few pages and i'v also tried the few poker videos on offer but i find they don't cover real life situations all they tell you is about importance of starting hands but not how to play them in any given situation. So i feel what i need is 1 to 1 training anybody no what i'm on about or any advice to offer

you don't want to learn how to play specific hands

you want to learn why we play hand the way we do, what we are trying ot achieve etc.

Your question is very broad, you could get a coach, manup and just grind some books or pdfs/videos.

There is no where to practice live poker per say but as it is soft as **** you could just try out some low stakes down your nearest casino. if you think you can beat nl4 online then you can beat nl100 live lol

Hi sub i am sure if you do a bit of research you will find what you are looking for. There are various sites who offer coaching and what happens is that you play online and the coach will watch your play and after the session is over give you feedback.

I agree with you about books,i read a lot but when it comes to poker books i find them a struggle.Have you tried youtube for poker videos, there are some decent ones on there and they are free. What are you concentrating on cash or mtts?

I'm concentrating on mtt and sng's the reason being is theres nothing worse than building up a small bankroll grinding away at low level sit and go's just to see the whole bankroll go on 1 hand on a cash game...
