That's no reason to get rid of a tornament thats open to anyone who has the points for one that's locked for point earner's.
Happened with the 10:30pm being scrapped for the main & mini freeroll. Now there are no freerolls between 7pm & 1am & today 4pm & 1am!

Shock horror at Sky Poker asking people to pay for a service...

I mean if you want a freeroll (where you can win money) you have to earn enough points to play it...

    Not unreasonable imo

people always seem to want something for nothing and forget that Sky Poker are a business, not a charity...

    That's very unfair Greg.

The OP has not asked for something for nothing. He has also asked a very valid question regarding a longstanding tournament.

And I think everyone knows that SKY are a business.

The 7:00 pm fr's req a payment of points and therefore, you still have to play on sky and pay the rake!
So it's unfair to say they want something for nothing.

    Agreed.

When people come here to ask 'what can I do with my excess poker points?', or 'it's not fair, I don't play enough to earn 500 poker points per month', the stock answer is always 'you can use them to enter freerolls'.

    +1

I honestly think Greg has been a little harsh in his post. I am sure he may of started off playing freerolls and micro levels before hitting the bigtime!

So you highlight 2 word's to justify you post? The fact "locked for" totally changes the way it reads and the rest does not matter!
Not asking for something for nothing i have to earn points to play freerolls.Just don't earn them fast enough to be "loyal"
I have never railed against people getting what they deserve priority freerolls league freerolls and not doing so here.Did i say get rid of it?Or let me play?
But when they start to come at the expense at tourney's aimed at noob's & rec's that just seems like the thin edge of the wedge to me.

OK ye i was a little harsh

It's dissapointing for something to be taken away that you enjoy...

I didn't like it when Macdonalds stopped doing double cheeseburgers for 99p so i started eating quarterpounders instead at a slightly higher cost, or i went to Burger King where they did a good deal on XL Bacon Double Cheeseburgers...

If the format of the freeroll has been altered, as it seems to be the case, then either earn enough points to play it, or shop elsewhere...

I like the odd freeroll occasionally... who doesn't. They are a great way of learning the game and having fun, but Sky Poker are still facilitating this.

Or wait till the site crashes, come on the forum and brag about having not played during the turmoil, then sneak in to the freeroll put on for affected players. But who would do such a thing.?????

from what i see a lot of sky poker regulars are completely deluded and even the competition
they do on sky poker 861 are won by Sky regulars who are either successful or are so poor at
poker that they fill sorry for them. As for freerolls, the blind structure are so stupid they its a
    complete crapshoot.
