What like you put a katie melua album on and fold every hand for 40 minutes, then turn the radio on and it's eye of the tiger so you raise very hand for 4 minutes?

haha, one way to mix it up I suppose.

Magic radio for me! Although I cant imagine it makes me play any differently, who knows!

well katie melua is not really my cup of tea lol but yer thats how it goes, iv got all sorts of music on my comp ranging from metal to soul and jazz, i have it randomized so each hand i have a diffrent style lol its a lil crazy i grant you but it hasent done me much harm yet! iv also been told off because i was "jigging" at a live table.... opps lol

I know exactly what you mean about various types of music influencing your play D34D567H4ZN0DSZ...2...erm, 4.

I have fairly eclectic tastes, and I find that whenever I play music by the likes of Korn, or Bread, then I raise much more.

Whereas, if I'm in a more laconic, retro mood, and listen to Paper Lace, I'll fold more.

If I listen to Craig McLachlan's seminal album that he recorded with Check 1-2, then I play much more passively, and tend not to bet the turn or river. On the other hand, I've noticed that if I listen to Salt N' Pepa's 'Push It Real Good', then the opposite happens.

If I listen to Kenny Rogers singing 'The Gambler; I get totally confused and start dribbling, presumably because the lyrical content is more generic and gives you all the options, without being too specific.

You have to say that music is pretty emotive.

I`m not sure but it wouldnt surprise me if ppl play differently according to the music they are listening to.

Years ago, I used to be big into the rave scene, and I was working part time as a pizza delivery driver while at college.  The cars they supplied were truly awful and only one of them had a stereo.  If I was lucky enough to get that car, I would put on a hardcore tape and would drive like a complete maniac.

I got pulled once for doing 75 in a 30 listening to carl cox at the secc (not big and not clever I know, and I`m all grown up now).

The copper said, if someone had stepped out in front of you, they would be splattered on the bonnet like pizza.  I did LOL.

let me off with a warning, top bloke

I thought i'd listen to a bit of music now while i'm playing, Cranberries and the Kooks =] I feel it keeps me alert whilst playing and interested in the game because some games do drag on!

I always have music playing in the background to help with my concentration. But i have had to ban myself from listening to Killing in the name of by Rage against the machine because my style of play becomes over aggressive

Music focuses me. Different types of music work better than others. As a result it does affect how i play. the focused i am the better i play.

Ill normally have something like skysports news on, so ive got the background noise and if anything interesting coems up i can take note, but its not likely to engross me to much that I stop concentrating on my cards

If it does then i will join you in that category because i do exactly the same thing. I find it very relaxing just to mess with the chips while i fold my long run of awful hands

wouldnt it be more fun/interesting/profitable, to make something happen with one of those bad hands rather than playing with chips? After all your the only one who knows ur hand is bad, no1 else does.

Might search through all mi old boxes and try and find my lego, build a house while im folding, dont have any chips :(
