I was really struggling to think how I was gonna manage to get paid anything with this hand, so was happy to see I got paid off as much as I did. Do you think this is probably max value I'm gonna get in most cases?

i'd guess at a random 5 maybe 65 75, dunno what villian is like but what clubhammer said about a9 diamonds would make the most sense.

also why no bet flop?

because I hold 2 of the kings and think he folds too often. I know I bet the turn, but I think checking the flop and betting the 2nd K makes it less likely I have the K

i imagine he is also checking flops that he is missing sometimes to.

I think the hand is played fine and you got about as much money in the pot as is possible probably....Until you post the result to show he played a FH very bad lol

don't think you need to worry about balancing too much at 4nl, the main reason for betting flop is to be able to get all the monies in by the river
