Right my mini poker adventure starts this weekend , after damaging my BR the last two weekends  i'm going to try and keep this one in tack . So i'm starting out with a BR of £11 . My aim is to try and make it £22 ( Starting small don't laugh )  What tables will help me     The only tables i have done so far are DYM and entered a few sats ....

Can somone point me to the tables that will not only allow me to have fun put also give me enough time to learn without the blinds attacking me .    I will be doing a few DYM's but to me this is a fast paced table that doesn't give me that much time to think as i'm to busy keeping an eye on my stack and where i sit  with the other stacks.

7.45pm Deepstack.  £1.10 entry, 12 min blinds, 5K starting stack.

Also you might want to try some £1.15 Bounty Hunters. 10 seaters. Top 3 get paid, but you also get a return for each player you KO.

If you don't want to have to deposit again then you definitely don't have enough to be playing satellites.

It depends how good you are. If I had an £11 bankroll, I'd play £1.05 heads-up sit and go's. In fact I've just withdrawn most of my roll so I'm mostly playing the small HU games myself. Play the regular speed games, though, as the variance in turbos and hypers can quickly eat up a small roll like yours. If you're a decent player they're the fastest way to spin it up.

You can play 55p HU games but the rake in those is 10% so it's a struggle to make a profit.

If you're not a very experienced player then you should probably just play the smallest stakes game you can find in whatever format you enjoy. Try the regular 6-max sit and go's: They're good games and playing down to a winner is better for your game than a DYM. More fun too. Most importantly, if you're new to the game resign yourself to the fact that you will need to deposit again because it takes quite a while to become a winning player.

thanks all for the great info yet again , I am new to the game and have made a few deposits but i new this would be the case and its still cheaper that going out down the pub on a friday night and i get the enjoyment just as much . I am getting there with the game and the good bit now is that i can see the misstakes i have made ( but still after i have made them ) The problem i have is that i get carried away and pot commited ....

I have taken notes , so this weekend I will give the deepstack ago on the Friday night .
Saturday I will try the HU game and a few 6-max sit and go's.
Then Sunday will have a crack at the DYM ladder challenge.

Will post up how i got on Sunday night ....

I'd grind the DYMs and with any profits go to the 1.10 deepstacks that were suggested.

Im doing something similar. I started with a couple of quid left over in my acc and ground it up playing sit n gos. Id probably play the smaller scarys (as Im doing) and the regular sit n gos. Im not a fan of DYMs at all. I just cant sit there folding that many hands and not making positive action lol. If you are prepared to sit there and grind it out then DYMs are prob the lowest variance. If you're after action, then definitely scarys!

Edit - just re read your OP. If you dont want to be under constant attack from blinds then definitely the 6 max regular tournies. You can wait out nice spots in those and play a fairly nice game.

    Good luck
