Am I ok to value bet the river once he's checked the turn?

for me its pretty close and would depend on reads...im probably looking to get to showdown so it would depend on how they play.

as the river is a blank and i want him to have one last go with hands like QJ, J10 etc i would be tempted to check call.  it also lets me get to showdown easier.

im not a big fan of how the villain played this hand and think betting for value is also fine.  if hes calling pre flop with k6 offsuit then he isnt folding any 9x hands on the river so there is clearly plenty in his range to get value from.

very close....readless im going raise />check/call.

Yeah, keep a note on him. I v-bet the river exactly the same though at NL4.

it's probably close between b/f and c/f imo. Maybe I'm being results orientated by saying c/f but I dunno. It's more likely villain will call with a K than anything else. Once checked to villain shouldn't be vbetting any 9s so you can fold
