Prize to BI ratio...seems askew....

Hi guys
Could you explain why there is such a disparity between the prize and the buy in.......

£110     £5000 Roller(thurs)
£55       £10000 Primo(sun)
£33       £12000 Sports Bh (thurs)

The disparity between a buy-in and prize pool seems too great
There was even the Super Roller recently which had £110 entry yet the prize pool was £20000. People must be playing them or they wouldn't exist but are there lots that are better value than others....
What balances out playing on a thurs with 2xBI for half the prize pool on a sunday? I'm perplexed? Or even for less than a third of the BI for over twice the prize pool on the same evening?

It's all to do with the amount of runners and who the intended market is.

Roller is aimed at the big cash players and big MTT players, a lot of them will buy in direct. There are quite a lot of satelites but generally you will get smaller fields because a £110 buyin you don't really think at the last minute "Oh yeah I'll give it a go".

Primo has been around for years! It's got a kind of buzz about it. Its the main 8pm tournament of the week and everyone wants to win it, so it will get more runners.

BH - Well that's just it.. it's a bounty hunter, Sky player love them, you get twice the amount of runners in BH's than you do in freezeouts so they can make juicy guarentee's.
