AARRGGHH!!!
I'd just typed out my post when that stupid fricking pop up appeared & I couldn't do anything with it!!! I cba to re-type the whole thing so this is a shortened version!
I wouldn't normally do my weekend bets this early but seeing as I'm flying out to Slovakia for my mate's wedding at stupid o clock tomorrow morning I thought I'd get them on now. Thankfully the hotel has free wi-fi so I can check who's let me down this time, lol.
Two bets for me for Saturday
Main Acca:
Everton to beat West Brom (A) @ 11/8
Crawley to beat Orient (H) @ 4/6
Stevenage to beat Shrewsbury (H) @ 10/11
The treble pays a touch over 13/2 so certainly not to be sniffed at.
Given the start Everton have made to the season I'm surprised they're being offered at such a big price. Granted, West Brom have made a decent start too but Spurs should have been out of sight by the time the baggies got their equaliser last week.
Crawley have made a good start to life in league one & their only defeat so far came at Swindon who seem to be beating everyone these days. Orient look like they could have a season of struggle on their hands having lost their opening 2 games & Crawley are good on their own patch.
Again I'm surprised Stevenage are not a bit shorter than this at home to league one new boys Shrewsbury. They've 2 wins & a draw in their opening 3 games so 10/11 looks a good price & one I expect will get shorter towards the weekend.
Long Shot Acca:
Swansea to beat Sunderland (H) @ 11/10
QPR (+2) to beat Man City (A) @ 6/5
Wigan/Stoke - DRAW @ 23/10
Northampton to beat Plymouth (A) @ 13/8
Oxford to beat York (A) @ 7/5
The 5 way potentially returns a whopping 95/1 so only small stakes.
This price for Swansea is way too big imo. They're playing some good stuff & are a tough nut at home.
QPR look a good bet with a 2 goal head start at the Etihad. Everyone remembers what happened in May & they've made some good signings this summer. The opening day defeat aside they looked better at Norwich last week. City haven't really got in their stride yet & struggled to get past Southampton on the opening day so the 6/5 on offer here looks good value.
Wigan & Stoke has a draw written all over it imo. Draws are usually quite difficult to pick but this looks like a good place to start.
Northampton have made an encouraging start this term & whilst it's always gonna be tricky on the road I reckon they might just have enough to see off a Plymouth side who have picked up just a single point from their opening 3 games.
Oxford are one of the favourites for promotion this term & with maximum points from their opening 3 games they're certainly on the right path to achieving that. A trip to York will be tricky for them but I simply can't ignore this price.
Good luck if you're having a go peeps. Hopefully I'll come back to a first decent win of the season.
