THE SOFTWARE UPDATE!

I've decided I'm going to play on Sky regularly as soon as the improvements come. I.e. resizeable tables, auto top up, better connection, quicker software etc.

Does anybody have any indication whatsoever of when it's due? I can start preparing my roll that way. I'm sure also that other players like myself will play more regularly when these vital improvements arrive.

Hurry Sky!

I'm hardly a good player - didn't you see me against tommyd? haha.

Are you moving up from nl4 any time soon?

Well I will be when my BR increases, I don't think it'll be very long, especially if I bink in my free entry to Tuesday's ME. Once I move to 8NL, the extra BR I ned to move to 10NL is only like 10BIs more so could get that in 1-2 good nights. Then it's delving into 10NL. I assume you'll be starting around the 10NL/20NL mark?

Sounds good. Yeah I'll be starting either 10/20nl.

Usually I like to have 40+ buy ins for each level but I doubt I'll be playing as many tables on sky with no hud or time bank (hope that is introduced) so probably 6, maximum 8. So if I get £300 when the software improves I'll start nl10 and if £5-600 I'll start nl20.

What's your br like for nl4?

Yeah I'm trying to take it more seriously this time round so sticking to 50BIs... I know it's a bit nitty for 4NL (I've had about 20 players moan at me) but it'll pay off when I'm in good habits, because I definitely think it's necessary for 10NL+ when I'll be playing 5-6 tables.

So at the moment, I got abuot £180, check out my diary, it's all in there, pop in and say hello. I'm actually having a bit of a 4NL challenge with Splashies at the moment, to see who can make the most profit before now and xmas (although to be fair I don't playing on being there by xmas lol).

in another thread about this topic tikay teased, without comitting, that it was hoped the new software would be introduced before the year is out. if this is the case then it must be close to the test phase. as usual theres no exact timescale but fingers crossed it is soon.

i noticed you sitting in a few nl10 tables the other day along side myself, guess you found the fish

I had £100 spare in my account so decided to give my potential new level a spin and I liked what I saw. Some good regs but mostly fish. I then got bored and spewed half of that off at nl50. But when I have a srs roll I'll stick to whatever level I get.

End of the year would be good. Ideally I'd like October/November but I'd take anytime in 2012.

    Don't hold your breath....

The software isn't that bad at the moment though, it works fine for me, very rarely have problems.

I wouldn't let it put you off if you wanna start playing!......

As far as i can make out the new software is none flash based to work on i-pads phones and better on less powerful computers. This was posted in "help & advice" and considering the i-pad app is tied to the new software it does not sound hopeful.

    Hi,

It's looking like next year for the iPhone & iPad Sky Poker apps. It'll be worth the wait!

Dohh I was watching a couple of your tables last night just seeing what the general standard is like for nl30. It seems ok, some fish but some standard. How many tables do you usually play with this software? And I take it you use mini view? I played with mini view the other day just with 4 tables and it was ok, I much prefer resizable tables but it wasn't too bad. Maybe I'll deposit sooner rather than later.

It would be great/would appease a lot of us if Sky perhaps put some screenshots/vid online so those of us who can't get to an SPT could see the progress.

    How was I doing?

You will prob be the best player @ 30nl If you get going. Wouldn't expect you to be at that level for too long so the sooner u get going, the sooner u f.off up to 50 ;)

Yea I 6/7 table, it works fine. Just log out of the browser if you're on the download, occasionally it messes up on 1 table, and the HH doesn't work.

Mini view ftw yea, I love it, better than any other re-sizeable options on any other site I've played. Hope they keep it as an option even when re-sizeable tables comes in.

You seemed good. I didn't see too many hands go down to showdown so a lot of the time I didn't know what you had but seemed standard most of the time. You seem tricky to play against, not like the usual robotic player I'm used to.

LOL I really don't think I'd be the best at nl30. I saw some players with like 8 tables open bossing it. KKrippler or something? Didn't watch his play much but he seems reg. I never moved up from nl25 on other sites, I made good profits but never moved up, I think I'm more comfortable on lower limits. nl50 in £££ is SO much money to me haha. Even nl30 on sky is nl50 on other sites so that's gonna be hard for me if I start there.

Maybe I'll make a deposit in the next few weeks. I finished 1st for $300 in a tournament the other day and finished 8th for £220 in the deepstack on sky last week, so if I just kept that money and deposited it on sky I'd be set, but no, I've spent most of it lol. I think it'll be hard for me to adjust without a hud either, making notes on ppl is boring. GL in the £33 5pm btw, saw that you got in.

Reg'd up beforehand and took the dosh obv! I don't pay 30 quid for tournys!

KKrippler is prob the 1 good reg I haven't got too involved with yet, we prob play at different times.

The few pots we have played, he's owned me. Obvyarsely.

Super Nova is pretty impressive, prob best I've ever played at this level. Andybeth too. RonnieG and AJrockets get involved too.

    It's fun, lets play!

I need to be heavily intoxicated though to handle swingy games! :)

haha it sounds fun. I just need to decide whether I still have the motivation and enthusiasm for the game that I used to have, and more importantly, the love. I used to love playing 12 tables for hours daily and I'd enjoy it so much. Now, I'm not so sure. How to figure this out without depositing £500????
