Why sit on high stakes tables on your own?

Why do some players sit on the high stakes tables on there own waiting for someone to come along when there are 4-5 other players doing the same why not just play them or is it for them just to boast and say look at me I have got £2000-£5000 to play with makes no sense to me.

The technical term is "Bumhunter"

I.e they are waiting for random "fish" to come along!  Alot of them wont play each other as there isn't much value in playing someone competant

Some of them even refuse to play me at 1/2 when im steaming drunk. Now that's just silly! How could they refuse that value?
