As you may know, there is a huge Event going off in Nottingham, they are playing to a winner today, the winner will get a very tidy £110,000. (Not a typo - ONE HUNDRED & TEN GRAND!).

22 players returned today, some travelled a very long way.

On the very first hand, this went off......

Geezer goes all in for 700,000 (Blinds were 30/60/10RA) with J-J, & gets looked up, quite reasonably, by A-Q.
 
The flop comes.......10-10-10.

Turn? 10.

River - blank. 

How do you like them apples Mister?

I once did something similar, although on the much smaller side of things: a £20 MTT with a bunch of my friends. This one was even sexier though, with the execution something I'll never recreate.

A good friend of mine - Richard - knew I was a rogue and would play pretty much any two, especially in late position.  It was the time the WPT had started getting big and I'd been watching too much Gus Hansen. I knew I could make moves that no other could live with. It was 2007, after all. No one made a move in 2007 unless he was Gus Hansen. Or Phil Ivey. Anyway.

We got into a bit of a tangle. I raised on the button, he 3bet me out of the big blind. 

I know he knows I am a rogue. I know he's a smart guy. He's obviously making a move. Playing the man and all that.

I stick in a fourth bet, all in for my chips. He snap calls. 

The problem I have here is that I have 7-2o and he has 6-6.

Flop comes 3-3-6. I don't like that one much.

Turn 3, river 3. Ship it.
