Hoping to meet a few people at DTD (although not playing)

Unfortunatley I won't be playing in the DTD as I'm on a four day golf break.

However, as we are based in Nottingham, I am hoping to get along to DTD at some point on Saturday night and put a few faces to names.

Look forward to saying hello to some of the regulars I've played at the tables with over the last few years!

    Hi Tikay,

    Playing Woodhall Spa on Saturday
    Lindrick on Sunday
    Sherwood Forest - Monday
    Notts (Holiwell) - Tuesday

20 of us playing in a format similar to the Ryder Cup.

    Should be good fun.

    Wow.

If I were asked to name the 4 toughest courses in Notts, S Yorks & Lincs, those 4 would have been top of the list!

Woodhall Spa is an absolute brute, with monster deep pot bunkers. They have ladders to get in & out of the fairway bunkers on the 1st.

Lindrick - they once held a Ryder Cup there - has beautifully fast greens. Oddly, it is bisected by the main A57 road, you have to cross it to play the 12th to the 17th, then cross back over to play the 18th.

Hope you have a grand time, they are all very beautiful courses.

Thanks for the info, what time on Saturday will play carry on until? I'm guessing it will be 12ish before I'll get a chance to pop to the Casino as we've got a meal first in Zizzi's Italian restaurant first, don't suppose you've ate there too?

     Hi guys

Yes, i've played at Woodhall Spa where there are two courses. The Bracken has rolling greens and a nice layout. The Hotchkin has 200 yard carries to the fairway and steps into the bunkers!!! Flat greens. Get a soresaver and walk quickly as there are signs every few holes telling yu how many minutes and seconds you should have taken!!! Haven't played the others.
By the way Tikay , my home course Southport and Ainsdale nr Southport has held the Ryder Cup twice albeit in the 30's. Lovely course. come and play it if you're ever up this way. You won't be disappointed.

Just back to golfing after having my gall bladder out. What a way to diet, eh?
