I thought variance was a 2 way thing ?

    The problem here is that the way you've played the hand, you enginnered the beat yourself. By not jamming pre, where you could have picked 2850 chips, over half your stack, you decide to flat. When your oppo then bets on the flop, she's getting over 4-1 to call which is the right price as she is 27% to win the hand.
     So stop blaming Sky and realise way you are playing hands is the reason your losing and not Skypokers fault. This was the easiest jam in poker and would make it a lot harder for j 9 to be in the hand. If they fold, then you've increased your stack by over 50% uncontested. If the J9 still calls, money is in ahead and you'd have room to complain about a bad call getting there.
