Does anyone else agree that the sky sports bounty hunter is in urgent need of a new blind structure?  As it stands 10 minute blinds by the 3rd level its at 25/50 then 50/100 skipping loads of blind levels inbetween.  I find this tournament a shove fest and is in need of a new structure.  Why is the blind structure so fast compared to all the other bounty hunters?

The clue is in the name. Once a week on Thursday evenings the ch.861 live show was also broadcast on Sky Sports (I don't know if it still is these days). The tournament was deliberately structured to finish in the last few minutes of the show so all the final table excitement could be reported live. As you can imagine Sky Sports wouldn't like cutting-off a live sporting event just as it builds to a climax.

Gary's reply sums up the position.

Notwithstanding the OP's comments about the structure, the Tournament is always very well supported, & remains one of the biggest weekly Tournaments on Sky Poker.

Not everyone likes slow structures, ditto fast structures, so a balance has to be struck. We now have regular, slow-structured "Rollers", so hopefully that balance is being achieved.

It will never please everyone, of course.

Given the structure of the Sky Sports Bounty Hunter I sort of 'believe' this ought to be one of my lesser preferred main events.

However I do enjoy it and I probably have more success in this main event over any others, go figure!

It is the only turbo tournament on the site all week with a guarentee above £200.

    How can people complain?

There's like 1,473 deepstacks & slow comps with gntees above £1,000.

That's basically what I was trying to say captain, but by taking the p out of myself a little.

If I don't think first, I might have been tempted to turn my nose up at these structures, but when I actually play these events, I enjoy them, I try to adapt my game to suit and there's still plenty of good poker to be played.

Thews at 10 may have been another event that some might frown upon, I wasn't that fussed at the beginning, but for me personally once I played it a few times I found myself looking forward to playing the event, even managed to win it!

Choice is good and personally I think playing different structures can only help your game in the long run.

Tikay i can understand what you are saying with regards to different structures for everyone but at the moment there is a lack of mtts worth while for high stakes players to play on here at the moment.  For example there is only 1 tournament worth playing on the site each night for these players unless the roller or the £110 bounty hunter is on aswell so thats a maximum of 2 tournaments on here each day.  The £33 freezeout and the £33 bounty hunter at 5pm and 6pm are now only operating at the weekends.  The higher stakes mtts on here are a great structure and if more of them are brought on here it will definately bring people here that dont usually play here but for the mean time there is a lack of tournaments for them to play.
