MTT payout structure

Just thinking the payout structure on small field mtts and in general could be looked at??

I think along with others if the field is 30 or less then 1 in 6 could be paid, thus you make the final table you get your money back.
Think ive seen alot in short field rollers 40ish runners etc where you make the ft and dont get paid which seems a **** of a shame. ive played the 300gtd 0000 mtt alot made ft and not been paid which is fustrating.
As this is a 6 seater site, then surely 1 in 6 getting paid is logical??
I also think i would boost the smaller field mtts.
Anyone think the same?

    I think the total opposite.

Too many places paid in most comps.

30 - 40 players is normally 1 in 5 that get paid. At least you know if you cash it will be more than the buy-in.

What really bugs me is things like the Sunday Superstack etc, where the minimum cash was actually less than the cost of the buy in.

£10+£1 (£11.00 buy in) - £10.60 for min cash makes no sense.

I agree with JJ - too many get paid. I spoke to Sky Adam at the weekend and he said it will be looked soon, because it was already on his 'to do' list. My bug bear is where 99 entries = 10 paid 100 entries = 20 paid.  So the step is too big, and so I think this will be looked at, but not sure at least six getting paid will be brought in.  A result of the current structure is what trev alludes to - another example is where you grind for four hours in primo, lose a flip to go out tenth and get like 1.4x the entry or something.  I suggested that the extra money from playing less could make the payouts in top ten better, but not necessarily just up top.

it should always be 10% of the field IMO. 30 players - 3 paid. 100 players - 10 paid, its silly paying out 20 when it pays less than the cost to play. 170 players - 17 paid.

Agree with JJ and Solack on this, no more than the top 10% should get paid IMO.

However.... I do like what Dusk til Dawn have done with their payout structure, where the payouts have been flattened a little to ensure that if you min cash you get a minimum of double the buyin.

biggest problem for me is that for example in the primo, 30th-11th get v.similar payouts when finishing 11th deserves much more of a reward than min cashing

Totally agree solack with that regards 100=20 paid, im thinking 16 get paid and totally get your frustation there with the primo example.

If there is 199 runners 19 get paid. 205 runners 20 get paid 210 runners 21 get paid.
