Looking back at it now, quite shocking that I checked the river, just wanted to double check that this is a standard bet/fold spot?

The only thing about the bet-fold is that you'll end up folding for about £2 in a pot of £15... I'd call for that and I suspect you would too. lol

Yeah, it should be a value bet on the river. So tough for him to have a 5, a flush or a full-house given the action. How many 5's call pre-flop? Perhaps A5, 55, TT and QcXc are the only hands to fear. Plenty more Qx hands are going to call a river bet.

Apparently 77 is good enough to call the turn so might call the river too. A bit of results orientated thinking there. :)

You can. I just think that if he's calling you down this far with a Queen, he'll probably call more on the river than £2.50. If there are alot more hands that we beat than we lose to, you want to squeeze that value out of him, don't you? I'd be going between £3.50 and £4. Might even be a good spot for a shove.

If you mean that you can fold for £1.80-£2.50 you're a better man than me. I'd never lay it down for that. lol

Jam it in his left eye

I'm definitely not betting small enough to b/f. Your bet sizing is pretty big, but I like it at this level
