£5.75 Bounty Hunter

I've just cashed in 19th placed (20 paid)

I got £4.40 and no head prizes so made a loss of £1.35 on the tournament.

I would honestley rather have bust out first hand of the tournament, it's terrible that you can cash in a tournament and make a loss, it just shouldn't happen.

Swings and roundabouts, there'll be other times when you finish outside the bubble places yet still make a profit from head-prizes, it all balances out over the long run. £2.50 of your buy-in went in the regular prize pool, so at least you made a profit of £1.90 off that.

With a bounty hunter, a min cash is always going to be lower than the buy-in.
    Just the way it is.

This is why I dislike BHs. 50% of the prizepool is on heads, 75% of which (per person) is gone from circulation as soon as someone goes out. So unless you run like god, you can basically write-off about 30% of the prizepool. Even if you do knock out a load of people and go deep, it's rarely gonna be that different to what you'd win for just going deep in a F/O of the same BI.

The only benefit I see is the whole 'you don't need to cash to make a profit' but I'm really only interesting in going deep/making a FT and not just getting my BI back, so doesn't really entice me.

Just my opinions obviously, I don't have anything against BHs, and am not in the crew of people begging for Sky to stop doing them, they're just not my cup of tea.

You have a point here though, people have been bringing this up for years now.

It's particulary frustrating in the smaller bounty hunters, where players bounties don't really get very big at all until the final 3/4 on the FT.

But, as GQ says it will work both ways and whilst people continue to j'adore the BH's as they are I doubt they're gonna change them!

    ----

And c'mon Sky, isn't it about time you trialled a turbo bounty hunter format???

    We've had normal BH's, rebuy BH's, HU BH's, PLO BH's.....

Lets go turbo plz! (prob the only chance I've got of getting some turbos back in the lobby. Plz trial, today! :))
