Brilliant journey, and what a nice gesture for your nephew! Posted by stretch83
ty Nick,
it's a long way away until he's 18,but as we all know time flies by,so i guess it will come around quicker than we think, and i'm sure when that day does finaly come, this grind and the waiting will have all been worth while!!!
Unbelievable achievement Dev and such a worthy cause. Best of luck in the future, and if you need any hints/tips/a shoulder to cry on, I'm only a PM away. Pat Posted by patwalshh
ty Pat,
that's a really nice gesture.... could definitely be taking you up with that at some point,i'm sure. thank you.
"isn't it lovely the friendliness that is very clearly and genuinely found here, on the'Sky Poker Forum' even though we are all quite often sat at the same tables as each other, all trying our best to take each others money if you like, and yet you still see wonderfull offers of help such as yours above."
What a great finale to the thread, i wish you and all your family all the best. Tremendous gesture by you, your nephew must be very proud. You are a role model in discipline and BRM, ( pm idonkcallu plz!!!!! ) Best wishes. Posted by davelufc
ty dave,
well i try my best m8, just nice to have 'a happy ending' sometimes. best wishes dev
Well done on reaching your target and very nice of you to use some of your winnings like that. This achievement is proof to any small stakes player that with the right skills, BRM and discipline, you can grind up a decent roll from a small deposit. Posted by Curt360x27
just got back from the building society and i am happy to announce that Lewis' account has been opened. the £500 has been deposited. he has his own bank book with his name in it, and he seemed very pleased with it. he cannot withdraw any money from it until he is 18 yrs old, which is just how i wanted it for him. more money can be added to his account at any time, which i am sure will happen. the account also receives 3.4% interest, annually i presume.
Hi Dev, VWD m8! To me the amount of tables you play at one time is incredible and you fully deserve every penny! Enjoyed reading your happy go lucky attitude, with a positive outlook posts! All the best for the future! Posted by DEL560

yes i do play a few i guess. but to me now 15 is just my norm, just like anyone that maybe plays 2 or 3. it wasn't always that way though. when i 1st started playing i struggled like everyone else,i guess. 1 table was fast enough for me,but with practise it became 2 and so on. i'm sure most players could do the same if they really wanted to. i always thought that i could get to playing 18,which i have done on several occasions recently whilst playing in my DYM grind. best wishes m8 dev
Just a utter pure phenominal achievement you've made, there's not much I can say that hasn't already been said, but congratulations! A long tough grind thats now completed is sweet, using the money for something truly worth so much more is just heart warming and inspirational.
