Hi guys
Just in from The BoogieWoogie league. What do you think.....considering stack sizes. He has 3095 after posting blind. What hands would he rer ai with in thisposition. With five big blinds or m=3.5 i felt like i could be ahead her and it was worth the risk as i was getting short too and needed a double up. Your thoughts. TBH itseemed to surprise my opponent who i know is a good player.

Well once you raise 2x, you can never ever fold to a 5xBB shove.

BUT... I don't think min-raising A2s UTG+1 is great with your stack. It's pretty bad IMO, just fold and find better spots. You have a stack where you really can't afford to leak any chips, so tbh I don't think min-raising is even an option for you. Some people may do it with stuff like KK/AA to induce a shove, but even with them I'd recommend just shoving.

I think fold pre but you put any chips in... once you put chips in, have to call.

    fold pre
if you can't call a shove from the ss then don't raise in the first place

look at peoples stacks before you act

    Cheers guys

Yep. I was thinking middle position 20% hand, trying to open my range as blinds getting big. Didn't fancy the shove as too many in front and stacks big enough to take a hit easily. Probably looking to get chance of nut flush and felt min raise was ok. When i got to the small stack i was happy to go to war and take the chance with him because of the ace and suited(3% swing equity),  and i needed a boost. Felt he could reraise with literally anything as two live cards can give him40% equity.Anyway they were my reasons but i can see that a better spot could and probably should have been found as my stack size gave me 'wiggle' room. Ta very much folks.

    Hi Red

Come on m8...don't let it get to ya. I've played in The Boogie Woogie with you on a number of occasions and we've had a good laugh, haven't we? Just like yesterday.(by the way you want to erase his guys name for etiquette's sake on other hands post then there's no comeback). Go to any other site and you'll see this stuff at some time. It happens and you're angry as it's something you couldn't anticipate and the decision to call was, shall we say, NOT OPTIMAL!!!!

You'd probably hand a few bad beats and had got a bit tilted....sounds like it as you've come across as a really god guy at the tables mate.
Don't let this stuff stop you from enjoying. i played recently on another site to compare the software, layouts, competitions etc. Yes, there were better layouts on some, the variety of T's was more on some etc but i hardly had any chat whatsoever except for a flagged thumbs up!!!!
There's more to poker here and the chat box is generally good banter with the odd tilted guy who feels entitled.
Take a day mate but give it another go...you know it makes sense!!!!
    Cheers
