I know its contentious - and we Brits don't like to admit it, but we were still street urchins when they were playing it

and the Chinese probably don't like the idea we invented their national game

Hi guys great show as normal.

Did you know that the word OK originates from the american civil war ?

When the troops came back from battle they would put up a sign letting everyone know how many were killed eg: 17-K and if none were killed they would put up 0-K hence the word OK :)

Did you know that it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open ?

Did you know that in the last 5 years 1 in 8 people who got married met online ?  ( I guess that gives me a 7/1 chance of you becoming my wife Sarah :)  )

    Cheers

    Daz.

Trivia for you, just got in and put on the show so sorry if someone has already said this:

The chimes of Big Ben heard on news bullitins on Radio 4 or the World service are sent in real time from Elizabeth's Tower (formerly St Stephen's tower).  The BBC have a microphone permanently fixed up there.  Such are the advances in technology and fibre optics if you are stood at the base of the tower listening to the chimes on the radio, you will hear them over the radio a split second before you hear them in real life.
