What better way to drown your sorrows after one of those days of the footy betting

With the live shows staring tonight as well as Strictly there are 12 acts + 1 of 4 wild cards which doubt anyone of them will win . The fields pretty diverse but weaker than previous years imo - Matt Cardle could sing

One i,ve liked from the start and wish i,d put money on them months ago now is the group Mk1 with the white girl and black lad . Only problem theyve got Louis as mentor who knows nothing about rap s he admiited


There are 2 similar boy bands which should split some points helping the others and of course the odd nutter in Essex Guy who spends fortunes on mens grooming products and is just annoying and can blubber for England
but cant sing

    wow your woman Ellas short!!! shes very good now i  must say but id be looking to take on at the mo at those prices.

    Jade Ellis @ 25/1 could be a live one, i like tones to her voice but what i like and mass public like 2 different things.

    Anybody Scottish in it im trying to think? Always go a long way as the Scots are patriotic and back their own and vote in numbers.

    Going my listed prices alone if was to have one bet id plump for Jahmene Douglas at 8's.

    He would make for a very good back to lay proposition, he will be 5/2 after a fortnight.

    +1 . The only problem with the act i,ve backed (MK1) is they,ve Louis as their mentor. If they had Tulisa or anyone else for that matter they,d stand a much better chance. He,s only ever been succesfull with boybands and even that was a while ago now

    Anyway after week 1 here are the latest odds :

    Can,t argue with Elle being the favourite. For a 16 yr old her voice and vocal range is the best i,ve seen in any female on the x factor. Whether she wins or not she,s a star in the making

    Will keep thread updated but have finally had enough of watching after MK1 went last week

    Young, fresh, current - something different than just the best voice. I blame their mentor - Louis. What does he know about Urban music and who are these people voting for some of the acts

    Not sure how true it is but i read in  a magazine Christopher Maloney was leading the votes in first 2 weeks ( cabaret/cruise ship  singer at best). That could make sense as he was the wildcard (voted in by the public) and also that Jermaine was getting 2nd . I think he could go all the way now
