Father  V got me thinking about this on another thread. But just for fun, here is the scenario. A three furlong sprint race, open to any age, sex, nationality. Who would u put your money on?? I'll start the ball rolling with Lyric Fantasy.

I do jackda but I can go back further. If on firm ground not even Frankel would have beaten Standaan.

The fastest horse i've ever seen over 3 furlongs was piccadilly filly trained by Edward Creighton!
I saw her run at Chantilly/Longchamp/Curragh and York but she just didn't stay the full five furlongs!

This is certainly bringing back memories.

When I got Mass Rally winning the Ayr Silver Cup the other week after backing it on so many near misses it reminded me of Camps Heath trained by Frankie durr.

It came second about six times in one season in all the big sprint races. Come the Ayr Gold cup it finally won at 14-1.
