This hand is from tonights main event....the villain hadn't made too many moves but had been opening a lot on the button.

Is my play far too passive?? How should I have played this hand? Is it a fold on the river?

I either 3bet/call pre, or just shove tbh. You're only about 20xBB effective so fine imo, and if he folds it's a very nice addition to your stack.

    I 3bet/call pre.

don't really like calling vs a wide btn opener w/ effective stack around 20-25bb.

only thing you're beating is a busted fd. I fold. You should prob fold ott without knowledge that he's double barreling light. and I suppose if you call on the turn you in this spot you kinda have to go with it imo. Stack sizes are too awkward to just flat 2 streets and fold to a 3rd. So scrap my first sentence lol

Percy has already covered it to be honest.

As played, I'd call the flop... turn I'm not too happy about calling the turn cos I know I'm basically committing to call his river shove which will come

As above really look to get it in pre.

As played fold turn unless you have strong reads that he double barrels light frequently.
