Thoughts on trying to Sat into main tonight

Is it worth trying to sat into the main event to tonight as a small stakes player given that it is a rebuy event and I don't have the roll to rebuy or add on so would effectively be playing it as a freezeout.

Binked free entry to the mini last night in the tv comp so was going to use the money i would usually spend on the mini to try and sat into main but is it worth it?

    Plenty of players have done well in rebuys without adding on or rebuying.

    Alot of the bigger players will be re-buying immediately to double there stack size so you'll definately be at a disadvantage.  That said, with a chip advantage, they are likely to opening pots with a wider range which is an ideal situation to play good solid poker and try to pick up pots with your strong hands.

    As long as you know your limits and play accordingly there's no harm in giving it a spin, there will be massive value in this tournament if you can get through it without taking a re-buy.

    If you sat in twice can you use the second sat as a rebuy?
    or can you not exchange?

    I know it's spectacularly late but last week I won the competition on the show for a UKOPS 4 semi seat. Obviously UKOPS 4 is a rebuy so I felt as though it was a bit of a poisoned chalice for me as it would mean paying £110 at least if I was going to play optimally - Money I can't afford.

    So I registered for the main, won the satellite and took the £55 as IDONKCALLU said. I'd advise anyone else in that situation to do the same. Use the money you win from the satellite to pay for smaller buy-ins or sats to Freezeout tournaments.

    every single player on my table used the add on

    although, i went from below average to above it during the add on so it would seem there were plenty who didnt add on
