Was that the analyst/Poker legend Ian Frazer taking part in UKOPS Tikay? Nice to see him on the site, if it was Posted by DUNMIDOSH
Hi Dosh,
Well I saw the screen-name "IanFrazer" in the Main tonight, though I don't know for sure if that was Ian. I've not seen him for ages actually - he's got a new yacht I think, probs spent the summer on that. What a life, eh?
If he plays the other UKOPS Events, we might see Toby Lewis too, as they are closely connected via family.
MAIN - 237 runners, 80 rebuys, 76 Add-Ons, so that's £19,650. First Prize is £5,305.
MINI - 386 runners, 180 rebuys, 133 Add-Ons, so that's £3,495 I think. Winner gets £873.75.
SIDEY - 71 runners = £7,100. Don't know what the winner will get, as it is a BH, but the Prize Pool part awards £994, & the Head Prizes will add several hundo to that.
In all, tonight's Prize Pools totalled £30,245, & attracted 694 runners.
I have a fairly severe grievance with regards to the payout structure of this tournament. After rebuying the maximum amount, I will make a losses of ~£2 if I mincash this event. If it was a bounty hunter, I could kind of be on board with that, but it is completely unacceptable that in a standard holdem format tournament, I will make a loss when I cash.
And please, while I understand people who have qualified for less and didnt rebuy will have a much better cash - this is not relevant. I can exercise the option to rebuy the maximum number of times and expect to make money, not lose money.

I completely understand your point, however it would only really stand up if every single player used the maximum re-buys and addons and this was the case, or..... if you were to calculate the average total buyin across the entire field and that this figure was less than the min cash?
Anyway..... I said earlier that I'd have a go at putting together an un-official UKOPS league so I've been playing with Excel since I bust out of tonights tourneys. The entire spreadsheet is too big to post on here but it basically calculates the percentage of the total field beaten in each or the 3 nightly UKOPS tournaments, therefore giving a maximum score of 100 per tournament. I've limited it to just those players that cash in each tournament. If people think it's worth carrying on with, I'll start a new thread and update it every day.

The payout structure on sky in general is horrendous, what other pokermsite pays 20 for 199 entries but 30 for 200entries

UKOPS 2 Main was won by long-time regular & Tourney veteran on Sky Poker, LCROC22, who netted £5,305.50.
UKOPS 2 Mini (£873.75) went to "jamie167", a small-stakes regular on Sky Poker.
UKOPS 2 Sidey (£1,335) went to the always impressive Scot, James Rann, aka "RUNITSRANN". James has been a long-term winner on Sky Poker, but he's on fire this week, with 4 UKOPS cashes already.
Well done to the 3 winners, & to everyone who cashed.

The UKOPS 2 Mini looks like it had.....
386 runners
180 REbuys
133 Add-Ons.
So, that comes to about £3,495, almost £1,000 over Guarantee.
Winner will get a whopping £873.75.
Nice to see him on the site, if it was

Please let me have comments as to if it's worth carrying on with.
Hi Simon,
I really enjoyed perusing that "Leaderboard" & definitely think it would be interesting if it continued right through UKOPS.
Probably best to start it's "own" Thread though, as the Update Threads I do are just daily jobbies.
I have sent you a PM.
Good luck with the rest of UKOPS.
All's well that ends well, eh?
Another terrific UKOPS night.

A quick word or two about RUNITSRANN.
If Sharkscope is to be believed, his UKOPS record so far this week reads like this....
UKOPS 1 MAIN (Sunday), 2nd of 308, £2,880.
UKOPS 1 SIDEY (Sunday), 8th of 69, £235.
UKOPS 2 MAIN, (Monday), 3rd of 237, £2,008.
UKOPS 2 SIDEY (Monday), 1st of 71, £1,224.
He played both Mini's, too, but blanked both of them. Hopeless......
