D/C problem/windows 8

hi folks,got a new laptop its got windows 8 ????? still finding my way around,it wont let me download the D/C.any ideas,ive downloaded adobe air thinking that would work no joy there,just keeps telling me there,s an error
am i being a simpleton

    Try accessing the site in a different browser. It won't let me download the client in Firefox but worked fine in Safari.

    Hey fella, 

    How did you get on with this? I'm thinking of getting the ASUS Taichi and from what I've read Windows 8 seems alright... just wondering if sky poker dowload works okay on it???? 

    Still experiencing any problems with it? I dont think I would buy if I couldnt use the download

    I've read that Firefox works much better than explorer but its all about the sky poker client download imo for stability.
