hi guys, this is my first post on the forum.... i play on here alot with mixed results generaly becauase i get bored  playing online becausei generally play 1 table at a time because i cant adjust to multi-tabling....and i lose patience and start playing random hands or making wrong calls.

my question however relates to live poker. i like to play at my local casino live tournaments,usually a couple of times a week, but lastnight is the 1 in question, any comments would be greatly appreciated..

 blinds 100/200-1st level. im in small blind with stack of 8000, ive got jack of spades and 8 of hearts. there were 6 limpers, so i call 100...big blind checks.  THE FLOP--  7 dia,  9 club,  10 club.  DREAM FLOP FOR ME. I lead out 600, three callers then a raise to 1200,button calls that... SO I DECIDED TO JAM.  reason was to scare any draws and not make it cheap. all folded except 1,, he had 10 hearts and 9 hearts. of course he hit a 10, just wanting some imput if i did the right thing or was it my mistake.

If you are going to play a hand then its always best to raise so that you can isolate (not advice that i always stick to lol) However once the action moved on the flop i would say that you did the right thing in jamming and it was unlucky that villian got his FH. Most times you would win here so i guess you just shrug your shoulders and move on to the next tourney

You had a plan and thats a longway towards success m8.....just unlucky as you were ahead before the poker gods got involved...you re now officially owed a good beat....

regards your j8 hand you got all the chips in the middle ahead your 84% to win so getting it in this good in the long run is obviously going to be good for you.

also if you are gettin bored with one table online open up 2 tables the more you do it the more you will get used to playing 2 tables and when you are comfortable try 3 then 4 tables and so on.
