20NL - Sizing Problems

I believe this is one of my weakest points when it comes to cash. Value.

I think I miss out on value too much, maybe with bet sizing, and definetly with river bets.

OK, so reads on the two players.

SB is a passive loose player, haven't seen much from him. He was playing only 1 table.

BB is in every hand. I joined the table and he had £8, he has been fluctuating between £6 - £15.

Villains are not Regs.

River card is a brick, if I bet, what size?

And is my bet sizing through the streets OK?

Could go big with your reads, if he had a straight draw then hes just gonna fold, and hes gonna call off any Jx.

Pretty grim if he decides to shove over your bet though.

Be so shocked if you haven't got best hand here. I don't think I would go too big probably bet something small like 5-7 quid! This might also get hands like 109, 89 or 99 to call us and leave enough room for a missed straight draw to jam over us.

As I said this is a weakness of mine, if I value bet river and he shoves.

    What do I do?

I don't see how he is ever shoving after the line he has took just seems like he's got a piece/draw and trying to get to showdown.

      £7 into £13.

      Slightly over 1/2 pot bet.

I think the only hands that will possibly call me could be - 89,910,99,J9,JQ,JK.

As I said, villain is a loose player and may call down lighter.

He has £18 behind on river, is this sizing ok to fold if he check shoves?

I cbet the flop slightly bigger against 2 opponents on this board 1.4/1.5
as played turn I think is good, river I bet about 6/7 to try keep in his middle pair hands but fold to check shove against someone who i read as passive.

Am I the only advocate for checking back the river ? (probably)

I agree we're almost always winning here. Just have to ask ourselves what % of time we are winning when we get called ?

Seems to me optimistic to get called by worse if player is remotely capable. From likely range mentioned above, I think we only rarely get called by KJ on a good day.
