Is my call the wrong decision?

In last nights mini I was on the button with AQ off suit, playing about 35bb, UTG min raises to 2k and from the way that person has been playing im pretty confident they dont have much, it folds round to me and I 3 bet to 8k. The small blind then shoves for about 45bb, it folds back round to me and I make a hesitent call. He tables 77, and the 7's hold.

Should I be folding in this spot? if I think it through im almost always flipping or im completely dominated and If i fold i still have approx 27bb a playable stack.

Thanks

3bet smaller and fold. 35xBB is pretty big for late stages of an MTT (500/1000) and there's no need to be calling off shoves of that size pre wtih AQ unless you have notes on them or their alias is GregHogg ;)

Ye agree 100% ppl rarely cold 4 bet jam with anything worse than AQ and alot of the times you will be crushed by AA, KK AK, QQ and not just flipping.

Lol, not even I have a spazzy cold 4 bet bluff range! ... well unless im tilting i guess, or im shoving over the top of 2 regs :)
