Typing in bet size

I keep hearing on the TV show about people typing their bets into the chat box to get a particular bet size instead of using the slider and pre-determined buttons. Is it that simple? You just type 775 for example and your bet becomes that? Doesn't seem to work for me so I'm obviously missing something simple I'm sure ...

    Are you typing the bet in the chat box?

    Need to type it in the betting box on the right hand side.
