Evenin all! Full details on tomorrow's show to follow just wanted to share a quick tale with you first...
A few weeks back I was lucky enough to be invited to host a charity poker game with some very famous faces at the table, unfortunately I’m not at liberty to divulge further until the show is aired but a few of these players knew their poker, a few maybe not so much...
We had a poker pro commentating on the game (a man who's graced the sofas at Sky Poker a few times now) and it was the point at which one player was dealt pocket Queens and the flop came with a Queen and no over cards that said poker pro commentator and my jaws both dropped as we exchanged a look that said 'I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY ABOUT THAT!?'
Because he folded. 3 queens, post flop, no over cards, no flushing board and he insta folds. Was there a problem with the graphics!? With our eyesight!? What happened!? And more importantly what could we say about it!?
Well I questioned said player on his exit interview and he shrugged it off as a mistake. Mistakes happen I guess!? Still scratching my head on it now though if I'm honest...
So! I’d love to hear YOUR stories on crazy play for the show, whether by mistake or misclick or instinct that it was the right thing to do at the time, any hands you’ve been involved with or witnessed let us know and I'll pester Producer Dan for prizes...
GL on the tables in the meantime!
Sarah xx

There's a thread on the forum relating to playing satellites for tournaments, after players have already qualified.
Does Ryan think it is ethical to play satellites purely to gain the cash equivalent of entry fees?
Or
Should satellites be renamed 5x or 10x tournaments and let the player decide how the winnings should be used?
My concern is tournaments listed in the satellite lose part of their prizefund if players withdraw prior to the main event and take the cash.
Imagine if it happened in the viva las vegas semi finals, the Sky Poker highlight of the year.
One player wins all the monthly heats and takes the cash equivalent instead of the Vegas package.
Would that be acceptable?
Have a great Evening
I guess my SPT final exit this year qualifies. First level of the tournament I managed to get it all in on the river with KK against AA on an A4478 board even though my opponents line screamed of AA. I blame the vodkas that I drank to calm me. My selective memory is a bit hazy but I think it went something like.
Opponent raised to 400 pre. I 3bet to 1650 out of the big blind. He 4 bet me to 4200 ish. I flat. Flop is A44. I check, he bets 6000. I flat call. Turn goes check check and I bet 10k out of position on the river. He shoves for 15ishK and i somehow make the call (probably felt committed to the pot even though in hindsight I wasnt). Ive since stopped drinking alcohol before big tournies and listen to whale music to help me focus!

My biggest mistake came in my local casino's monthly £200 tourney.
I managed to get to final table and with about 7 left I had about 20 BB. I was in the small blind and the action had folded to me. The BB had around the same chips and as the the pot with the blinds and antes was worth taking I announced all in. The BB instant folded and I was just about to muck my cards when i heard someone say call.
I had not noticed that the chip leader had raised before me and to cut a long story short my 97 lost to KK and that mistake possibly cost me thousands of pounds.
After working so hard for over 12 hours to go out with a stupid mistake was to say the least gutting but It taught me a lesson and I have made sure since then that I always pay attention at the table.
I seen a hand once in a BH where a guy made a full house with JT, got raised on the river and 3bet too small to put him all in even though villian had no fold equity... dunno where I saw it
