Hey guys I never knew where to post this so posted in GPC if mods want to move it thats kool

I just watched the cincinnatti kid(1965) for the 1st time ever yesterday it was awesome really enjoyed I defo think they should do a remake of this film with soon with the likes of daniel craig as the cincinnatti kid reason I say him because in casino royale think he was great plus when playing poker he was always so calm and kool.

even though I think the cincinatti kid was great it still does not beat rounders imo i`m sure I heard somewhere they were thinking of doing a rounders 2 in the near future but only time will tell.

but just posting to see what others think of these films and if they did do remake who you think will be good replacement for steve mc`queen as the kid and what other good poker films they have seen.

Only these two I think. Pretty much all other poker films are terrible. Although the scene where he's talking about the time he played against Chan is pretty cringe.

Rounders is a very good film but I'm blatantly swayed by the fact the subject matter is something I love.

Doh has seen just as few films as he has TV shows! JJ go and watch...

    1. Goodfellas
    2. Platoon.
    3. American History X

not necessarily in that order :)

The Cincinnati Kid is a much better film than Rounders, though I must confess that it's been a while since I saw it. Gotta love the Malkovich in Rounders though, "In my club, I will splash the pot whenever the **** I please", "No more tonight. This sob, all night he 'Check, check, check'. He trap me." etc. etc.

Spirits of the Dead (1968) has a great poker scene in the "William Wilson" section (it's an anthology based on 3 Edgar Allan Poe stories), where king of cool Alain Delon takes on a rather beautiful Brigitte Bardot. The French language version is particularly fun as every time Bardot tables an ace she says it in her sultry manner as "asss" (the French pronounciation), what's not to like.
