thought he just had a Q but had a flush draw and hit it on the turn, when he checked the river i thought he only had a Q because i was anticipating a value bet with the flush

    HI L

What you got wrong imo was getting involve in the hand at all with Q7o esp when mp limps. He shouldn't be limping so is he trapping? Yes at timesin full ring limps suggest suited connectors but other hands to. However, in 6 max, it's not really in anyone's interest to limp when first to act. Yes you've flopped nicely but he checks then calls your bet. pPossible flush arrives on Turn and he surprisingly check calls after completing his flush. Odd imo but as the board isn't dangerous for him and a bet on river will commit to a approx pot-sized all-in then maybe he sees this as the best way to get your chips.
Maybe you should ask yourself what you thought he was doing at each stage and if you had narrowed his hands down. Surely he wouldn't limp with AQ, AJ. So tbh the flush stands out like a sore thumb here or even say QJs.
Yes you are going to see this as hard lines but there were clues and to be honest the biggest error, no offence intended, is playing this hand at all. Have a good 2013 m8.

Fold pre no need to play q7 at this blind level i may play the hand later on it the tournament to blind steal  blinds not worth stealing it this stage.  You did decided to play the hand therefore you should be 4xing given the limper your minimum raise achieves nothing. Hate your call on the river after he check raises allin hes never ever going to be bluffing.
