All the min betting at NL4 is still a mystery to me. All I can think is he may consider it a "probe" or blocking bet (which rarely work - so why do it??) or is showing indecison with a weak made hand here. Something I've seen regularly in these spots is a reraise generally gets called, so even though it's showing weakness don't think you can bomb the pot and steal! They're calling anyway so smash them with a value bet if you reckon you're ahead and just call everything else - at 8-1 river it's worth even calling hands you feel are well behind. Occasionally it's a noob trap but that shouldn't deter you from making a value reraise - just note them up if they've played silly b*ggers.

the reason i just limped with that K8s was because it was the worst position and i did nearly fold it but i most certainly didn't feel like raising as any A would right away have sent alarms knowing that these villian love an A in their hand
as for the semi bluff well do i really want to just do a call then  shove if that A or 9 comes out when a straight is easier to spot. i am wanting to get my pot done already and to help try hiding my straight

    Yeah +1 Don's comments.
K8s looks pretty but out of position bin it everytime - I'd even think twice from the button unless I know the blinds are nitty.
Semi bluffing/driving weak draws at NL4 is just burning money - especially at the turn - ppl don't fold enough. Don't worry that you haven't built a pot if the Ace comes on the river, your straight is hidden and an over pot bet will get called often enough.

i agree step. Ive had hard times at these levels getting invovled with pretty hands from the button id say K8 is still a fold on the button now. Although we can open our range dependant on blinds.

But we definatley dont limp it, open with a raise.

As for the semi bluff there really is no need. People look at their cards at NL4 if they have a pair normally theyll call. No need to worry about them thinking, oh KQ got a straight because honestly that doesnt matter
