LATE REGISTRATION TOURNEYS. rewarding the bone idle

What is the point of these tourneys. If you dont buy in before a start time, why should you be allowed to take part.In future,if they keep these stupid tourneys going, all late entrants should pay double, and that will make them more punctual for future tournements. In a way,it is teaching our younger players that being late can pay(only if one cashes). And of course this is not the message we need to be sending out .

It means bigger prize pools. Also can give early entrants a massive advantage if they get off to a flyer. Can often be in a position where as an early entrant you can have 4/5 times the stack of a late register, giving you a massive advantage.

Its for people who miss  the start obv. Comes in handy if you misse dout by a few mins. You should be happy.. your at an advantage as you have bought in and played eveyr hand at ever blind.

Late reg is normal on all sites and is good for the tournaments as it increases the players. I late reg for 2 tournaments everyday on another site the tournamaments start at 12.30 and i normally get in them by 1.  Late reging does not give anyone an advantage dont see why you would think late reg is a bad thing.

It is not an advantage to reg later as often alot of the "value" i.e weaker players stacking off light is at the start of the mtt.

I do, however, agree that it is a nice lazy option for people who don't enjoy the early levels. Defo not an advantage to late reg though as you get more time for your money if you are there from the start. And in that time you can accumulate chips...

plenty of people have won mtts from late reg, but it is not an advantage at all!

Anybody can do it, so it doesn't advantage anybody. If you think there's an advantage in buying in late then do it yourself. If you notice an advantage and then don't capitalise on it, then you sir are the bone idle one.

It's ok for you to call people bone idle, but not for them to call you the same?

What would you like me to explain exactly?

I think late reg is fine in rebuys, if that's what you mean?

The only MTTs I have a problem with late registration with are the 15-min Timed Tourneys. I feel that there's no point for something so short already. Other than that, late reg is standard across pretty much all sites and even in many live tournaments in the casino. This isn't Sky rewarding the lazy, it's standard practice and has been for years elsewhere.
