one of the villians is low on chips so i'm thinking to myself their is a chance of getting a head prize here so i do a bid on the turn which it would see gets them to fold. what should my bet size have been that would be enough for the villian to call then shove with on the river

With a pot of 1140, your bet is fine. don't wanna let him in cheap because when you do an 8 drops & he turns Q-T.

If your bet gets a fold that's a result. Better to win a small pot than lose a small pot.

There is perhaps an argument for you to shove here as you're only leaving 370 behind and on the river that's not going to scare anyone off is it?
